Chimes premiering at Shunt

“Chimes” will be showing at the Shunt Theatre Lounge from 21st January, for a week, maybe two.

Amidst the bustle and burlesque of the bar at Shunt gain a few moments completive peace by stepping into the Red Room, donning headphones, and with delicate finger gestures manipulate the virtual breeze jingling the garden of chimes.

Originally intended simply as a sketch for a iPhone soundwork collaboration with Adam Hoyle, Chime blossomed into a full embodiment of minimalist interaction without conscious thought or action – a very zen outcome. Shunt glanced upon it and requested that it brings a touch of serenity to the Lounge, how very nice of Shunt.

Depending on previous commitments attendants may be present keeping the jasmine incense alight and serving fragrant green tea. Gesture, listen, close your eyes, imagine the raked gravel under your feet…
